Five Fabulous Bloggers I Can’t Get Enough Of

fabulous bloggersThanks to Trop 50 for sponsoring my writing about fabulous bloggers. This year Trop50 is granting 50 fabulous wishes. Click here to enter for a chance to win $1,000 to help grant a friend’s wish!

When I entered the world of blogging, I hadn’t actually read many blogs on a regular basis. I’d catch a post here and there, but I couldn’t honestly say I was a “fan” of any particular blog.

Times have changed.

I have several blogs I love to read consistently and I make it a point to check out at least three new ones a day,  so I can continue to find fresh new goodies. Blogs are addictive like that. It’s great to see so many styles and perspectives. I literally learn something new every day.

I could go on and on about all the funny, talented, heart-touching bloggers I love, but I’m afraid my fingertips might catch on fire. Instead, today, I’ll shine a spotlight on five fabulous bloggers I just can’t get enough of.

Kelley from Kelley’s Break Room

This woman is F-U-N-N-Y! She has such a tight grasp on what makes a gal laugh out loud, it’s practically supernatural. From inviting her readers to make fun of silly CAPTCHA “words” to writing hilarious song parodies, this mama has a must-read blog. If you think I’m funny, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!

Kimberly from All Work and No Play Makes Mommy Go Something Something

Whether Miss Kimberly is tugging at your heartstrings or making you laugh ’til you cry, you better believe she can tell a story. She doesn’t sugarcoat the less-than-awesome stuff or pull punches when she’s sharing the hilarious. There are just some bloggers you really connect with on a personal level, and for me, Kimberly is one of them. I love, love, love her.

Ponn from American Muslim Mom

Her site is rich with culture, business savvy and just plain ol’ American family fun. I love her site, because it’s the perfect blend of interesting, intelligent (and sometimes controversial) topics, classic family values and helpful hints on getting the most out of your blog. I tire quickly of blogs that keep reheating the same subjects over and over again. I don’t have to worry about that with Ponn’s blog. If you like to mix it up, you’ll adore her just as much as I do.

Mellissa from Getting All My Ducks In A Row

Do you ever read someone’s blog and just know it’s straight from the heart? Every post Melissa writes is like that. I think she’s fabulous, because reading her blog is like catching up with a dear friend. She throws in a little bit of everything from recipes to crocheting with her aunt and grandma…and there’s a whole lot of giggle-worthy mom stuff to boot. I love reading her blogs while I’m drinking my morning java. It’s just like sitting at a corner cafe and chatting with a pal.

Lauren from My Postpartum Voice

Not only is Lauren helping women who are going through or have experienced Postpartum Depression, she’s also a brilliant writer and always has something interesting to say. While I was fortunate enough not to have had PPD, I can’t get enough of her blog. They’re thought-provoking and positive reads for every woman and mother. She’s got a heart of gold and her blog really speaks to me. Definitely a fab gal.

I love all these ladies. They connect with me on different levels, which is important. Women are complex, and I, ladies, am a woman. If you trust my judgment, do yourself a favor and check these fabulous bloggers out. They all have so much to offer, I just can’t get enough of them.

Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to support a friend’s wish. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

The Sugar Doll Blog Award!

Lindsay from A New Breed of Mom gave me my first ever blog award! ONE HARDCORE JESSI DANCE IS TAKING PLACE RIGHT NOW! The Sugar Doll Award is an award for your favorite blogs, and it’s super scrumptious! I feel so honored! As you can tell by my serial exclamation point usage!

However, there are rules for the giving and receiving of the Sugar Doll Blog Award

Rules are as follows:

1.Thank the person who gave it to you!

2.Share 10 things about yourself

3.Pass the award along to 10 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think rock!

4.Contact the bloggers and let them know you’ve picked them for the award.

So here goes somethin’…

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Miss Lindsay! There’s some major blog love pouring out of the Cooper Palace and it’s headed in your direction!

Lindsay’s magically delicious. The Jessi is totally endeared to her for several reasons, but I’m going to leave them a mystery, so you’ll totally read her blog. Openness and honesty are the hallmarks of her work. Check it out. Follow her on twitter: @NewBreedMama

10 Things about me that I haven’t already blabbed on Facebook or Mama’s Got Flair…hmmmm…tricky…

1. I paint my nails for 2 reasons: 1) It’s pretty and feminine. 2) It keeps me from my lifelong habit of nail chewing.

2. I have a serious aversion to Nascar, but I can’t pass up a good deal. I found a comfy pair of Nascar shorts (visual: bright red with NASCAR across the bumper-rumper) for a buck at wal-mart and wore them for jammies for years (until they were unwearable). My whole family still makes fun of me for it.

3. I hate being tickled. When I was a kid, my uncle tickled me until I peed my pants and I was mortified. Since then, I can’t handle it. I WILL hit you if you tickle me. Ask the hubz, he can confirm. I do, however, love to tickle other people. Double-standard? Duh. Suck on that pickle.

4. Speaking of pickles…I LOVE dill pickles and completely, entirely, with every fiber of my being LOATHE sweet pickles. In fact, it pretty much cheeses me off when I’m tricked by a dill poser on a relish tray.

5. I find serial killers fascinating. What the crap is wrong with these people? A TON! I’ve watched many a program and read many a book. I also love shows like Forensic Files and Snapped! The Brocker finds this disturbing. I can’t, for the life of me, think of why.

6. The smell of grated parmesan cheese offends my delicate nostrils. In fact, in the Arias household, it has been dubbed “Butt Cheese.” I, however, am the only Arias that won’t eat it. I think they’re gross.

7. My dad is the loudest dude on the planet. 35 years of working in a noisy machine shop will do that. I am the second loudest person on the planet. I never worked in a machine shop.

8. I have a big-ass fro…when my hair is dry. When it’s wet, it’s actually pretty thin. I look like a chubby, drenched crypt keeper.

9. I only socially drank coffee until recently. In the last year, I’ve become a total caf-addict. Try taking it away from me. I dare you. You’re risking an appendage.

10. My middle name is Robin. My parents are flippin’ hippies…that’s why. On the way to the hospital for my delivery, my mom saw the first robin that spring. Do the math. Hippie+Bird=My middle name. Thankfully, it wasn’t a full-moon out.
