Every mom has… #A to Z Challenge

Every mom has…   Worn a mystery substance in public only to discover it after she’s spoken to at least five people.   Crammed a snack into her mouth before her kids could see it and ask for some.   Wished her mom was at her side to help her through a situation.   Been frustrated to the point of tears.   Had all the shenanigans of the day charmed away by the sight of her sleeping baby.   Counted the hours until bedtime.   Been caught off guard and had to stifle a laugh when her kid said or did something … [Read more...]

Five Children’s Movies I Love #AtoZChallenge

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, it's no secret that I've got little love for most children's television programming. With very few exceptions, like Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls, I just can't get myself to watch them. They annoy me. Animated children's movies are a different story entirely. About that “Awareness” thing…be respectful #AtoZChallenge

Every day, no matter where we go -- online or in the real world -- we're constantly coming across "awareness" materials. Bumper stickers. Pamphlets. Billboards. Fundraisers. Status updates. Shirts. Tweets. Pins. Posts. Petitions... I could go on all day. Everywhere we turn, someone is making us aware. It's almost overwhelming. And, for the most part, I think it's a good thing.
