Disclosure: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lars Kelson is a tortured soul with a paranormal “gift” that he neither wants nor believes in. Ghostly Summons is a fast paced paranormal mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The pacing is magnificent and the plot is taught with suspense and emotion. You truly feel for Lars as a man with a terrible burden that he tried to avoid.

He’s lost everything, but when he’s visited by the spirit of a bruised and beaten millionaire it ignites his old feelings of being an investigative reporter. Kelson was once a man who sought out the truth, often bending or even breaking the rules, but he traded all that in five years ago for a mundane life as a computer programmer. Old habits die hard.

Lars is compelled to help this woman and begins his own journey of healing. Ghostly Summons is a superbly written book that you won’t want to put down. It’s part ghost story, part murder mystery and part techno thriller seamlessly weaved together into a truly captivating yarn.

John Karr has created an interesting character with Lars Kelson. He’s three dimensional and you feel for him throughout the book. I love a character that makes me want to shout out his triumphs and mourn is tragedies. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

You can buy Ghostly Summons for Kobo, Nook or Kindle and follow author Lars Kelson on hiswebsite and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

Jessi, isn’t it great when an author has the skill to combine multiple genres into one like John does in his novel? Thanks for the review 🙂
