You can do more colors than just blacks and grays, such as blues, or purples.

The point of the smoky eye to have fun and feel sexy, so here are the basic tools you’ll need to get started:

  • Base makeup
  • Highlighter Pencil

1. Start with a clean eyelid, and put a sheer coat of base on your top lid only. This will prevent you from getting raccoon eyes because you can easily remove any excess shadow that falls below your eye without it sticking.

2. Apply highlighter pen to the underneath of your eyebrows and the tear ducts on each eye and gently blend without removing too much.

3. Apply your eyeliner to the top and inside bottom of your eyelids.

4. Apply your lightest eyeshadow shade to your eye as your base color.

5. Using the angle brush and your darkest color, apply a couple of coats from the middle of your lid to the outer corner of your eye.

6. Taking your angle brush, apply a thin coat of your darkest color to the top and bottom of your lower lash line to help define your eye.

7. Apply your mascara from root to tip to define your lashes.

Now you can do your own smoky eyes at home, and don’t need a makeup artist to look hot and sultry!
