I, like many others, take an awful lot for granted. Life throws its curve balls, and I frequently get so caught up in the unpleasant twists that I’m blind to all the blessings.
So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’m going to share a different blessing in my life in my “A Month of Gratitude” series.

A Month of Gratitude: Day 1
Today I’m thankful for my home…

It may not be worthy of the cover of Midwest Living Magazine, but it’s a warm, safe place for my family to live, laugh, dream, wrestle, dance and finger paint pudding murals in random, hard-to-clean places. Is it my dream palace? Not exactly. Is it my favorite place in the whole wide world to be? Abso-freakin’-lutely.
Recently, Hurricane Sandy left many families without the simple blessings of safe places to lay their heads, and my heart breaks for them in their time of need. Click the link if you would like to help the American Red Cross with a donation towards helping victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Very very true! And very thoughtful of you to link to The American Red Cross’Hurricane Sandy Fund. Thoughts & Prayers to all mankind.
