In case you’re wondering: What I’ll do when I win the Mega Millions tonight…

I'm sure by now you've spent at least a few minutes thinking about what you'd do if you struck the Mega Millions jackpot tonight. I've given it a little thought myself. Living debt free with the means to do and have anything I want sounds pretty darn sweet if you ask me. I'm pretty sure it'll look a little something like this... After I eliminate the bills and help my family with whatever they want and need, I estimate I'll still have a good gazillion bucks left. Then what to do? What to do? First, some upgrades need to be made around the old Cooper mansion. And by that I mean … [Read more...]

Am I too old for some hair flair?

I love pink--like, a lot. Like, Shelby on Steel Magnolias "Pink is my signature color," a lot. I mention this because I've been toying with the idea of chunking some pink tresses into my hair for quite a while. On one hand, I think it would be totally rad to play with this bodacious curly coif, but on the other I'm afraid that I'm just too old to be giving the mod color thing a try. I realize at 33 I'm not exactly Granny Clampett, but there's this nagging feeling that it's a wee bit late for me to explore some more extreme hair hot pink tresses in my dark brown hair. Does your blog have a theme song? Mine does now, courtesy of the Midnight Professional…

You know your family loves you when they write a song for you...and your blog... This weekend I finished my work up early on Saturday and the hubz and I decided we'd unplug on Sunday. Early Sunday morning, the Brocker received a cryptic call from my sister-in-law, Amy, saying there was a gift for me on Facebook. His … [Read more...]

Who does the cleaning in your house? Do you do the bulk of the work? Is he the neatfreak always following the kids around with a broom and disinfectant? Do you work on the chores together? Every house is different, and there's no right or wrong answer to who should be doing what, yet at some point in most relationships, someone feels like they're getting the short end of the stick. Either they feel they're doing everything, or find their partner's contribution doesn't meet their standards and find themselves doing it over. Ahem...dishes anyone? Scrubbing Bubbles® recently conducted a … [Read more...]

SitterScout Makes Scheduling “Me Time” Easy

When was the last time you scheduled some "me time?"   And, I'm not talking about a 20 minute soak in a well-deserved bubble bath. I'm talking about dressing up, with all the bells and whistles--yeah, I'm talking makeup and no ponytail--and getting out to do something you love with someone you love. Ahem...besides your little ones. Scheduling "me time" outside of the house is as important to your kids as it is to you. You need a chance to replenish and regroup. It's not a luxury, it's a necessity. If you're bogged down with all the responsibilities of life--which we all … [Read more...]

Jessi O’Cooper says…Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

On 364 days a year (well, 365 since it's a leap year this year) I'm proud to be Mexican-Hungarian, but... May the luck of the Irish be with you! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Jessi … [Read more...]
