I purchased my iPhone many years ago when it was the newest and latest gadget on the market. It was one of the few times I bought something at the peak of its popularity. At the time, I needed a phone to contact people if I had an emergency when on the road with my kids, and could give me some form of Internet access since we had no home computer.
