With autumn in the air, I’m afraid we’ll be turning the heater on within a few days. While I love the coziness and warmth of the cold winter months, the dryness from having the heat constantly running leaves my skin 10 shades of itchy and uncomfortable.
Having a great lotion makes all the difference in the world during the cold months, especially when I amp up my moisturizing routine before it starts to dry out and chap. With my slightly sensitive skin, I have a hard time finding a scented lotion that I can use frequently throughout the day.
That’s why, when I got the chance to review the Keri Luxurious lotion, I snapped it up.
Keri has been a trusted name in moisturizing lotions for over 50 years and is available in five varieties:
- Keri Original: Formulated with five essential moisturizers for daily dry skin therapy and healthy looking skin.
- Keri Advanced: A light, non-greasy lotion for soft, silky skin.
- Keri Shea Butter Conditioning Therapy: Deeply conditions skin with rich Shea Butter.
- Keri Basic Essentials: Light formula made with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera for optimal hydration.
- Keri Luxurious: Indulges your skin with Vitamins A, C and E and has a delicious, light apple scent.
I chose to try out the Keri Luxurious lotion, because my skin can always use the extra vitamins, and I absolutely LOVE scented lotions.
How I used Keri Luxurious lotion:
During the spring and summer, I usually only moisturize my whole body after bathing, and my hands after washing a couple times a day as needed. In the cold weather, when my skin gets dry, I add in another round before putting on my pajamas. As for my hands and arms, I moisturize every time I wash my hands and usually a few times in between.
When testing out Keri’s Luxurious lotion, I did my usual full-body moisturizing routine after showering and at bedtime. I lightened my hand moisturizing routine to one application after every other hand-wash, just to see how much staying power it had.
I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. My hands never got to dry, and I wasn’t itching (literally) for another application.

What I loved about Keri Luxurious lotion:
- The texture is very light, because it’s water-based. I can’t stand oily moisturizers that make me feel like washing my hands right after application.
- It was felt as natural and soothing on my hands as it did on my legs. Like I said, my skin is pretty sensitive, especially to lotions with added fragrances, so this is an important factor for me. Keri Luxurious felt great on my hands and legs, even after multiple applications.
- The apple scent is delicious. It’s light and refreshing, rather than strong and overbearing. LOVE IT!
- I didn’t feel the need to keep reapplying it every five minutes. This is another one of my lotion requirements. What’s the good in using a lotion that doesn’t last?
Overall experience:
I really enjoy Keri Luxurious lotion. It’s got a crisp apple scent that would be appropriate during any season and the lightness of the formula is amazing, especially for a moisturizer that stands up to a busy mom’s regular routine.
I’d totally recommend Keri Luxurious lotion to other moms.

When I purchase a lotion I want to make sure it is good for very dry skin and leaves it soft.
I love a lotion that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy film on my hands. I also don’t like a lot of heavy perfumes. Keri is wonderful! Thanks for the giveaway

The tweet button on your rafflecopter had a tweet about the gel sole inserts, and not the lotion; just thought you might want to know. It did this for me at least.
I used the tweet button below the post and rafflecopter form and it worked for the lotion, and here is that url for that tweet: http://twitter.com/#!/robinlscott/status/127508787996262400
Thanks so much for pointing that out! I’ve fixed it. Doh! ~Jessi
