When I was a little Jessi, my mom pretty much did all of the housework herself. It wasn't that my siblings and I were ungrateful, defiant kids that refused to pitch in, it just wasn't expected of us. As far as mom was concerned, we had our own job -- school. I'm sure she would have appreciated our help, but she never, ever asked for it, and we were too young and immature to think to pitch in on our own...well, unless we wanted something.
